WB Confirms The Release Date Of Dune’s Trailer
Warner Bros. has finally confirmed the first official trailer of the upcoming film Dune. After so many confusions, the movie is releasing this year online. Dune is a forthcoming epic science fiction film directed by Denis Villeneuve, who also wrote the screenplay along with Eric Roth, and Jon Spaihts. The film is internationally co-produced in Hungary, Canda, The United Kingdom, and the United States. The film is adapted from the novel of the same name by writer Frank Herbert, in 1965. And the movie will cover the first half of the book.
The film has a fantastic cast involving Jason Momoa, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Timothee Chalamet, Stellan Skarsgard, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, and Javier Bardem. Dune is released in the United States on 18th December 2020 which is distributed by Warner Bros. Picture.
Fans only have been granted a peek at the upcoming movies through some images that were released by the production team a month ago. And audiences are eager to witness the first look of the film, Dune. Although, Chalamet confirmed in August that they would release the first trailer this month. But later, according to the news report, the trailer release is scheduled in September. Many conflicting reports surround the film, but fans are inevitably going to witness the trailer any time soon.
Soon after the launch of the book in 1965, several producers bought the rights to adapt the novel into a film. Many filmmakers tried to make a film of the story but found it very difficult to put it into a file with such lengthy content. In 197, the director Alejandro Jodorowsky acquired rights to create a ten-hour adaptation of the book, but that project also fell apart. The effort of making the film is documented in a Jodorowsky’s documentary film Dune. Two of the movies are successfully released, one is a live-action adaptation directed by David Lynch in 1984. And the other is a miniseries on the science fiction channel produced by Richard P. Rubinstein in 1996.
Paramount Pictures announced the new feature film Dune in 2008 with director Peter Berg. Although Peter left the project in October 2009, Pierre Morel entered as the director in 2010.
As per ComicsBook.com, Warner Bros. confirmed the trailer of Dune would be released online on 9th September 2020 at 9 AM PT. Audiences can also watch the trailer in theatres, as it will be attached to the screening of the Warner Bros. movie Tenet. And if you are not going to see Christopher Nolan’s latest movie, then the trailer will be available online soon. The trailer of the debut film Dune will serve some great excitement among audiences, and they will eagerly look forward to the film to watch. However, the first look of the movie received mixed responses, so the trailer may clear the confusion of fans and would be able to grab the required attention. The trailer might also attract the people who are not familiar with Dune, and after watching the trailer, they may like it.
The story of the novel revolves around Duke Leto Atreides, who is a ruler of the ocean planet, Caladan. He is assigned to manage the harvesting of melange on the planet Arrakis. Arrakis is an inhospitable and harsh desert plant that has an extremely valuable and rare substance that can extend the life of humans. Leto knows that this is some kind of trap, but yet he agrees. And that is how the story begins to develop.
The film Dune is expected to be released in December this year. The movie theatres have begun to open now, and Warner Bros. has a handful of releases before Dune. Although there is a possibility the release date of Dune can again be delayed, one thing for sure fans will get a chance to see some footage of the movie in a few weeks.
